My boyfriend has experienced extreme weight loss within the last few months. He just received the results from his physicians office and was informed it was not Thyroid. His A1C lever is at 10.4 which I guess is supposed to be below 7 which I found out is related to diabetes. I didnt realize this could cause extreme weight loss. He also just threw up, I am thinking maybe stress related. Not sure what to think. We are both worried.

Hello, I suggest you to take an appointment with Endocrinologist. Check the level of glucose in the blood. It is diabetes and he may need insulin. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
