Can Strong Smell From The Soaked Carpets Cause Any Problem To Fetus?

i am 18weeks pregnant and we had a bad leak in our flat the other day. the walls and carpet were soaked it was that bad. it has now stopped and dried up but there is now a very strong bad smell throughout the flat and im wondering wether it is anything i should worry about or wether it could harm me or the baby?

HI,

The strong smell itself will cause no harm but make sure the fungus or bacteria that is causing the smell is eradicated as that can lead to infection.

Stay in rooms which are well ventilated and clean especially during pregnancy.

If you see fungus on the carpet or wall i wil advise you to move out
