Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My daughter has been running a fever since sunday and the highest it s been is 102. She doesn t have any other symptoms of anything so I was wondering if it could possibly happen from being in the sun too long or a result of an allergic reaction?
After reading your post, it seems that your daughter might have suffered from heat stroke.
I would suggest that you should get her clinically examined and investigated by a medical professional.
Following investigations may be helpful :- 1. Complete Blood Count ( CBC ). 2. Liver Function Test ( LFT ). 3. Urine examination.
You can give her paracetamol 500mg for fever. Further medical management can be planned according to the reports of the above mentioned Investigations.
I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
