Hello, I have a quesion. My mother in law has colon cancer, we just found out a month ago. It is stage 3, but thank God it hasnt spread its on one place. She startet chemo therapy and its been a week, she also has to carry the bag for her bowl movement. After 5 weeks the doctors will do the surgery to removed the cancer and also take off the bag. My question is is she going to be ok. Is it going to be like the doctrs said, they will removed it, take off the bag and she should have her old life back?
HI I really appreciate concern for your mother in low and let me tell you that if this is malignancy then surgeon will remove the malignant part, and then patient need to go for chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and these would bring the normal span of life, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
