Can Swallowing Hot Piece Of Food Cause Back Pain?

I recently swallowed an extremely hot piece of food. It burned the entire way down, and I also felt the pain in my back. I m now experiencing a gastritis episode and everytime I swallow food/liquid or belch, I get pain in the same area of my back. Could the two be related? Thanks

Joint Replacement Surgeon 's  Response
Welcome, after going through problem my opinion is that ther may b gastric ulcer or pancreatitis. For diagnosis please have an usg whole abdomen, serum amylase, other general blood investigation esr , cbc,crp get done. Meanwhile avoid spicy food, tea, coffee, omeprazole in morning fasting at 6am. For gastric ulcer endoscopy can help. But as it isan invasive procedure please cconsult gastroenterologist. It will also help you to rule out pancreatitis.
Hope your query get solved .
