Can Swine Flu Cause Deterioration Of Spinal Cord?

a good friend of mine karl a oliver was diagnosed with H1N1 SWINE FLU over two years ago he was in hospital for several months now his bones are deterating due to swine flu virus attaching to his spinal cord. can you tell me is this is really swine flu?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

H1N1 swine flu does not affect the bones per se, however it may affect the spinal cord in a process called transverse myelitis which causes weakness of the lower limbs and there is characteristically sensory loss and usually a well defined sensory level. It usually appears soon after the viral infection but may still occur later on. He needs an appropriate examination by a physician to figure out his correct condition.
