Can Swollen Optic Be Due To Alzheimers?

I have been diognosed with swollen optic nerve. no tumors shown in an mri also I have atrophy and pain on my right foot some symptoms starting on my left foot as well. I also have memory loss . M R I also showed (age related white mater in some areas in the brain. The memory loss is very troblesome. I am only 62. Is this alzheimers?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having swollen optic nerve.
The common cause for swollen optic nerve is edema of the optic disc secondary yo raised intra cranial pressure called as papilledema.
Alzheimer's disease is not known to cause this problem.
The common causes are intra cranial tumors, aneurysms, hemorrhage....
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
