Can Take Biotin Supplements For Sparse Hair With Split Ends?
I am suffering from hair loss and the hair at the top of my head has become sparse. Also, split ends have developed. And even though I snip my hair at an interval of 2-3months, this hasn't stopped. The hair length isn't increasing as well. Can I take Biotin supplements? If so, then what should be the daily dosage? And the trade name of the available biotin supplements (in India) ?
Biotin has been implicated as a measure to prevent hair loss & strengthening them. It is recommended to take 5,000 mcg of biotin in supplement form daily in order to strengthen hair shafts. Most people meet their daily Biotin requirement by consuming biotin-rich foods like yeast, liver, cauliflower, bananas, carrots, egg yolks, legumes, mushrooms, etc. However, if you are not able to maintain your dietary requirements of Biotin, then you need to take supplements after consulting your Physician.
Wishing you a Good Health. Take care.
