Will it help becoz I am afraid of the side effects
Hello. You took prednisolone for 3 years? by yourself? Its shocking. The side effects of long term prednisolone are very serious. The treatment of nodular prurigo is challenging. There are few options like azathioprine, oral PUVA etc. But these medicines are meant to be taken UNDER SUPERVISION OF A DERMATOLOGIST. In addition, using a sedating antihistamine like doexepin and soothing lotion like Venusia Soft are helpful. You should avoid to scratch it. Scratching only aggravates it. Hope it helps.
