Can Taking Effient Cause Severe Weight Gain?

Can taking Effient cause severe weight gain? I had a third stent placed in the same place in my heart in early June 2014 and was taken off Plavix and put on Effient and since then I have gained 30 pounds. I am so uncomfortable, feel weak and unmotivated. Is there something I can take to counteract the weight gain effects of the Effient?

It is a very rare side effect, indeed, look into your diabetic status as well and your exercise levels. If they have remained the same only then it can be attributed to Effient. So raise the exercise levels please !!
