Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Taking MacoxZH And Combutol Be Safe For Tuberculosis Lymphadenitis In Children?
I live in Delhi. My daughter is 1.3 years old. Her weight is 9.4 kg. She is detected with Tuberculous lymphadenitis as per FNAC test done by SARAL. She has cold abscess below neck. Her liver function test is done. Enzymes are little more. Now her regular doctor has suggested her 2 medicines: MACOX-ZH KID - 1 Pill daily (empty stomach) COMBUTOL - 1 Pill daily. (after breakfast) I will start her medicines tomorrow. My queries: 1. Are these medicines right for her? Should i start these medicine. 2. What may be side-effects of these medicines? 3. Who is specialist Doctor for this treatment in Delhi (India)? 4. Should we go for surgery? (which we dont want)
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the tuberculosis then it is the right treatment give, what the disease is there medicine has to be given no matter what the side effects are and this is nothing to worry, no role of surgery is there, for your complete satisfaction you can have the second opinion and for that better to see the pediatrician, hope this information helps.
