Can Taking Medroproxyprogesterone 10 Mg Causes Increased Menstrual Flow?

My OBGYN prescribed me with Medroproxyprogesterone 10 mg once daily for 2 weeks because I have had irregular bleeding for 3 months straight due to PCOS. I am worried because the bleeding has increased since I started taking it. I have 2 days left, will the bleeding stop once im done taking it? I am to start taking Zovia 2 weeks after im done with the progesterone. Im worried the bleeding is just getting worse.

Hi, I think you should take medroxy progesterone acetate in a higher dose to stop the bleeding. You can also take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Once your periods stop, you can reduce the dose of progesterone to once daily for 2 weeks. When you will stop it, you will again get the periods. Start zovia 2 from day 2 of your periods.
