There may be 2 main causes of loose stools (for the discussion here)- one is an infective cause. There may have been some added infection. In this case, the antibiotic
metrogyl may be a very very good choice to control loose stools. The usual duration for this is 5-7 days.
The other possible cause is an antibiotic induced loose stools. A course of
prebiotics like sporolac may help. Also avoidance of antibiotics that caused
loose motion may help.
Best also to test a stool routine and microscopy
