Can Taking Naproxen Be Safe While Suffering From Ulcerative Colitis?
Hi, today i was violently ill after taking Aleeve (Naproxen 220mg). I regularly take 3 X 1.2 g Mezavant. I looked up effects of Naproxen and it indicates possible stomach bleeding. Is there a compounded effet here since i am being treated for ulcerative colitis ?Thank You !

Drugs like naproxen can harm the GIT if at all it is already injured by conditions like ulcerative colitis; so it would be best to avoid all such medications that can prove to be too strong for your GIT. As far as long term effects goes, they cannot have a long term effect but they certainly can cause your GIT to be harmed enough (if taken frequently) to cause long term damage.
