Can Taking Norethisterone Help Delay Periods?

i want to get pregnant within this wk but i might get my periods which i dont want. so i want to stop my periods and get pregnant so i thought of taking norethisterone as it wil help stop my periods so that i can have sex and get pregnant but now in net i found that taking noresthisterone wil maynot lead to get pregnant as many are taking this pill as to protect frm getting pregnant so pls help me what to do

Hi, i do care for your concern.
norethisterone is a progesterone containing drug which is mainly used in contraception, as this makes the uterus un-receptive for implantation.
using this drug may only delay period, and will not help in getting pregnant, as pregnancy is related with ovulation (i.e the time of release of ovum from ovaries).
having coitus in the fertile period will help you in getting pregnant.
fertile period is from 12th to 16th day of your menstural cycle.
you can consult your gyanec for pre-pregnancy counselling.
