Can Taking Primolut 10 Mg For 20 Days Normalize My Periods?
Hello, I delivered my baby in Feb16 37 weeks gestation by an emcs but sadly, my baby passed away. I had my normal 40 days bleeding and then paused and then started bleeding again and after a few days with clots continued bleeding for 25 days in the interim my obgyne recommended tranexamic acid for 5 days it reduced the bleeding but didn t stop. Had to go back and had an ultrasound of inside out and found that things are fine but the doctor thinks I might have a hormonal imbalance and has put me on primolut nor 10 mg for 20 days. Will my periods normalise after these 20 days? As the Dr. has given me a go ahead to ttc at the 6 month mark. I would want to try again?
I am sorry to hear that from you. The fact that the ultrasound showed no issues and is normal means that you don't have to worry much about it and it may be a hormonal issue. Please follow the advice of your doctor taking progesterone hormones such as primolut.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
