I started taking Duromine 3 weeks back. I have been walking, i also eat a lot less than i used to. I have not lost any weight though, infact i have gained 5kgs. I do not understand why.
In addition to that, i have started luctating. My breasts are leaking milk. I took a home pregnancy tests and also went to the doctor and took a blood test and they are both negetive. My doctor says it could be thyroid. Can duromine course a thyroid problem??
Hi, Thank you for choose Health Care Magic. I read carefully your query and I understand your concern. Duramin (phentermine) is sympathomimetic amine chemically related to amphetamine with significant anorectic activity, its appetite suppressant effect is generally considered to be exerted through the hypothalamus, but it is not certain that this is the only effect related to weight loss. Luctating is not a side effect known till now for the consumers of duramin. Lucation is related with the high prolactin hormone level that in non pregnant women probably one of the causes is the high level of TSH in hypothyroidism (under function of thyroid gland).Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain as you said here that you gain weight even you eat less, to determine the cause you should do hormonally lab test: PRL, TSH, T4 and T3 and a head MRI. Hope I give answer to your problem. Feel free to ask me again Take care, Dr .Marsida JANKO
