Can Taking Alcohol And Marijuana Cause Temporary Loss Of Sight?
Hi! A strange thing happens to me every once in a while. Like yesterday on a bus also. After having 2 beers and smoking little bit of marijuana, all of a sudden, couple hours after consuming of substances, I lost my sight completelly for about 5min, accompanied by loss of balance and feeling very sick. After 5min I got my sight back and returned to normal. I am 24 years old. What could be the cause of that?
I understand your concern as loosing sight is not a usual phenomenon.
Using alcohol and marijuana is injurious to health. Combination has combined detrimental effect on health.
Loosing sight, balance for 5 - 10 min could be secondary to several reasons. It could be due to neurologic cause, cardiogenic cause, hypotension, hypoglycemic etc.Alcohol has known to cause hypoglycemic which could be the reason you are having these symptoms.
How ever it is best to avoid combination of drugs and get a detailed evaluation to rule any other possible causes for your symptoms.
hope the answer has helped you.
