Can Taking Cipralex Treat Dizziness And Burning Sensation In Head, Chest And Arms?

Hi I took cipralex 20 mg for the 1st time 2 days ago and started to feel dizzy with a burning sensation on my head, neck, chest and arms. 48 hours later I still have the burning sensation on and off. And a bit of light head. Went to emergency blood test ECG all normal. Was advised to stop the medication. Is this normal. And how long will it take to leave my system and make me feel normal again

Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, medicine side effects are within the first week of taking them. They rapidly subside after stopping (a few days at most).

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
