Can Taking Two Oxycodones In A Gap Of Two Hours Cause Side Effects?

Hi, My DR prescribed 1 to 2 oxycodone every 6 hours a needed. Normally I only take on every few days. However today my pain is more intense due to over use of my arm yesterday. I took one pill about 2 hours ago and don t have any relief. Is there a safe or unsafe timeline to take the second pill? Can I take the second one now or do I need to wait out the 6 hours?
