Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I wear a lot of heels and I notice by the end of the day my toes and the balls of my feet lose feeling. I read a tip about taping your third and fourth together to relieve some of the pain and pressure, is this true? And why? What does this do? Does this only work by taping these 2 toes in particular or can I tape together any toes? Thank you
It is due to stress on the plantar arches and tendons. The best possible option is to avoid high heels and physiotherapy.
Taping may not be effective in every case. If the pain is severe, you can try over the counter available analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
