Can The Alcoholic Drinks Be Taken After The Implantation?
Hello, i would like to ask if i can drink alcohol after implantation. I know i should avoid alcoholic drinks for a week or so but today my best friend has birthday party and i am wondering if that s ok if i drink 2-3 beers. Sorry for mistakes, english is not my foreign language and thank you for your time.
Hello and welcome to HCM, I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
Alcoholic drinks are harmful for the baby. After implantation the baby derives nourishment from the mother and everything in the mothers blood reaches the baby. If alcohol is taken at such an early period it may lead to anomalies in the baby. If it is consumed later in pregnancy it produces fetal alcohol syndrome which includes mental retardation and various other defects in the baby. Hence it is best to avoid alcohol altogether in pregnancy.
Hope this was helpful. Please control during pregnancy as it is not good for the baby. Thanks for using HCM. Have a good day. Dr Nilajkumar Bagde Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecology
