Hi, my 2 months old son has brown birthmark on his chin spreading from lower part of the lower lip to the end of. The chin. Heard that it is cafe au lait mark. Can this be removed by using a creame.? We would like to try a creame first before going for laser treatment due to side effects. Also, can it be removed w/ homeopathic medication?
Please suggest what options we have. Thank you very much.
Cafe au lait macules would not fade with any cream. Laser is the only treatment.
Lasers like Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, Q-Switched Alexendrite lasers show response though it is variable. The risks of laser surgery include transient hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, slight scarring, permanent hyperpigmentation, and recurrence.
I would advice that you consult a Dermatologist with good laser experience with these kind of lesions.
regards
