Can The Extra Dosage Of Yaz Tablets Be Taken To Delay The Periods?

Hi, I am currently taking the Yaz and today was the last pink tablet that I had to take. During the weekend I have a martial arts seminar and I would like to delay my period until sunday. Can i start a new packet of Yaz and take 4 pink tablets from the new packet and then start the white ones of my current packet and then continue normally with the other packet that has 4 tablets already taken? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

If you want to avoid the periods you can continue the contraceptive pills. But the method you mentioned can lead to to disturbance in the schedule and menstrual irregularity. So the better thing will be after stopping the pink tablets of the first pack start pink tablets of the second pack and complete all the pink tablets and then go for white tablets of 2nd pack.

By doing this you are skipping the white tablets of the first pack and also menstrual period of present month. After stopping the pink tablets of the second pack you can get withdrawal bleeding either while using the white pills of the second pack or after stopping them.
