Can The Intrinsic Factor Return Once The Hypothyroidism Is Being Treated?
I have pernicious anemia, I receive B12 shots monthly and have been told it is because the intrinsic factor is not present in my system due to untreated hypothyroidism. My question is can the intrinsic factor return once the hypothyroidism is being treated?
hELLO, Good day. It is likely that you have an auti immune hypothyroidism and associated auto immune conditions can occur with it, like Vit B 12 deficiency. To be frank, there is only a very small chance of intrinsic factor returning to normal. But be hopeful. You never know. Treating hypothyroidism has nothing to do with Intrinsic factor return Regards binu
