Can The Lump Under Neck Be Indicative Of Lymph Node?

I have had a lump under my neck for about a week now and it's painful. It's the size of a dime. It's right under my jaw line on the right size of my neck. I have no other symptoms. I originally thought it was a lymph node but I have no idea what I can do about it. Is there anything?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have enlarged lymphnode. It can be due to reactive hyperplasia as a result of infection. Rarely it can be due to tuberculosis, lymphoma or metastatic carcinoma.
You should take a course of antibiotics. If it doesn't respond to treatment then biopsy diagnosis is advisable.
Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
