Can The Mass Near Groin Area Be Calcification? What Does Lower Extremity Venous Unilateral On US Mean?
My 2 yr old son who was a preemie & had a picc line in NICU has a mass on his inner right leg near his groin.There is also a vein their that is hard.He is scheduled to have an ultrasound lower extremity venous unilateral.Is this something very serious.His pediatrician said nothing to worry about but I'm very scared and the test isn't for a couple of days.He said it could be calcification.I don't know.

Age of 2 years with mass in the groin Needs work up and the advised ultrasound expected neardays is one of them. And if the doctors say that you have nothing to worry about then you shouldn't be as they know the situation in depth. lets hope it comes out innocuous.
