Can The Medicine, Albuterol, Cause Increased Breathing Rate In An Infant?

My 10 month old is breathing fast and short breaths...had a fever earlier but none now...I also gave her an albuterol treatment 2 and half hours ago...could the breathing be related to the medicayTion or should I watch her....she is about 40 breaths per minute

Hi...a 10 month old with 40 breathes per minute is not a very dangerous sign. At this age only if the respiratory rate is only 50 or more than that per minute then only you need to worry. This cannot be called a fast respiratory rate according to this age group.
