Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I waxed my upper lip yesterday and after waxing it my skin was reddening but it is now back to normal but expect for the red streak left on my face which is a burn from the wax. I really hope i could heal it by today and i tried vaseline yesterday right after i got the burn
Thanks for your query. As per your query you have wax burn mark on the upper lip . It usually occur after waxing due to hard plucking of hair and hot temperature of wax. I would suggest you to wash face with mild soap ,apply aloe vera gel and give cold compresses. Do not apply any cosmetic product and do no expose your sking directly to sunlight and cover it while in sunlight .Apply kojivit cream twice a day after washing your face . Hydroquinone is quite effective as it blocks natural melanin formation. Use TAN CARE or sunscreen rich in SPF 30 while exposure to sun . If condition do not subside then consult dermatologist .Doctor may prescribe antihistamine drug along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend laser therapy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
