Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
48 yr old male. I believe I have costo, just based on symptoms and ruling out everything else. Heart issues ruled out, celiac test negative. I have hashimotos hypothyroid, but thyroid levels are low normal. My question is whether the thyroid could be a cause of the costo and/or will gluten free help the costo?
Costochondritis is probably not associated with thyroid disorder. Costochondritis is inflammation of cartilage and not associated with any thyroid disorder. I suggest you to consult an orthopedist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
