Hi Im 43 , 78kgs, 5ft 2 . I have a swelling along my collar bone ,left side. I also have severe headaches from elevated bp. Can a thyroid problem cause high bp, heavy menstrual cycles and is the swelling along the collar bone an indication of it? My sister is a year younger and had a tumour removed on her thyroid gland but she never had any of these symptoms. Its not a lump just a puffiness but together with the headaches it making me anxious.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have high blood pressure and headache. your blood pressure is not due to thyroid swelling. You should take anti hypertensive drugs if you have persistent high blood pressure.
You should go for ultrasound neck and T3, T4, TSH level. It will give you exact idea regarding thyroid disorder. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health
