Can Toe Hardness Post Recovery From A Snake Bite Be Cured?

Hello, Three weeks ago I was bitten by a copperhead. I was treated at the emergency room and spent two days in the hospital. Everything is going well except for my big toe (where I was bitten) had a blister which is black and now has dried up and is very hard. What should I do to make my toe normal again? Thanks, Diane

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can.If this is toe necrosis then it will not recover and it should be ampuatted. If there is still vital toe then it may be saved but stifness and swelling may persist.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
