Can Too Much Sleeping Be A Medical Problem?

my boyfriend sleeps WAY too much. its ridiculous. he is 18. like he does stay up late but he can sleep til like 5 or 6 in the evening/afternoon. i have to force him to wake up but he will never do it on his own. do you think its a medical problem? if so, what medical problem could it be?

Hello

I think its the disturbance is more of sleep-wake schedule rather than a medical disorder.
He should change his sleeping schedule. Fix a regular time to bed. Avoid execessive working at night times. Donot drink tea coffee or alcohol at night time.
