Can Tramadol Replace Hydroconan Before Hip Replacement?

I AM IN PAIN AND CURRENTLY WAITING FOR a HIPREPLACEMENT IN ABOUT SIX WEEKS. MY PRESCRIPTION FOR HYDROCO/APAP5-275 HAS ONLY 2 PILLS LEFT AND I VE BEEN UNABLE TO GET MY NEW PILLS ....THE DR S OFFICE IS NOT OPEN UNTIL MONDAY . MY DOSAGE IS 4X DAILY AND I VE HAD NONE TODAY AND HAVE 2 PILLS LEFT. IS IT O.K. TO SUBSTITUTE TRAMADOL HCL 50 MG TAB CARA FOR THE HYDROCONAN?
