Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey, I was tested positive for peanut allergy two years ago at age 14; however I tested negative to tree nuts. I have had two severe reactions to peanuts since then, and have also avoided tree nuts. I ate Nutella a few weeks ago week though, because my allergist said it would be okay to eat tree nuts. I had a tingly mouth after that and an itchy throat. It only lasted for about half an hour. Then tonight I a cookie with a walnut in it (accidentally) and I was fine for about an hour, but then both my eyes became a bit red and puffy (and itchy). Is it possible to develop a tree nut allergy just two years after being tested negatively to it?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if it is the full blown allergic symptoms then it could be sensitivity reaction unless it is difficult to judge but of course clinical examination and observation could help a lot so better to get done clinical examination hope this information helps.
