Can Tropical Cream Be Used To Relive Pain After Needle Prick?
Hello, I'm having a blood test tomorrow and was wondering if something like bonjela or another topical numbing cream would work to relieve the pain when the needle goes in? I have had something similar on one previous test which made it more comfortable, and one without any numbing which I found difficult. Would you recommend this?
As per your query there are a large number of numbing gels available which can be applied over the surface of skin to numb the area before the prick of needle is done..
These gels contain numbing agents like lidocaine or choline salicylate and when applied over the skin it causes blockage of senses conduction from the terminal nerve endings present over the skin surface..
This leads to anaesthesis or numbness of the surface of skin and thus pain is not felt when needle prick is done..
Hope your query is solved..
