Can Twisted Ovary Cause Pain The Lower Abdomen Area?
Hi, I have a pain in my lower right abdomen. It started a few weeks ago and I thought it was a twisted ovary, which I have had before. I spoke to the doctor about it and was sent for an ultra sound on my ovary. Results have come back as normal. Around the same time, I felt I had PMT, thought I am through Menopause and all its symptoms. It was getting better but yesterday our young puppy jumped on my tummy and the pain is back and is bothering me quite a lot today. I suffer with Ulcerative Colitis but am not showing any symptoms of a flair up. Not sure what to do.
Hi I had gone through your question and understand your concern. And the answer is , Yes , twisted ovary do causes pain in the lower abdomen (right or left , depending upon which one is involved) . If the pain is less severe and subsides on its own ,then there is nothing to worry about , but if it persists and increases then you should definitely consult your gynecologist. I hope this information was of help. Wish you good health. Thank you.
