Can Tying Rubber Bands Around The Testicle Affect Fertility?
Hello, I am a 22 1/2 year old male. During a period of mental illness in 2007, a few months before my 14th birthday, I tied multiple rubber bands around my testicles. They were cut off after 10 or 15 minutes. During that 8 years and 9 months I have produced sperm and had seemingly normal sex urges. What are the chances that the incident rendered me totally infertile?
I think the incident may have not caused any concerns. If you use a rubber band it may have stopped the blood circulation and may have caused necrosis of testicles but you may have experienced extreme pain during this. The fact that you have continued your life normally means that no consequences have been after the incident.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
