Can Unprotected Anal Sex Cause HIV And STD?

hi im 23 years old and i am still a virgin, 2 month ago i met a really nice guy who told me that he just got out of a long 5 years relationship. we had unprotected anal sex . it happen 3 times only for some reason i am so scared because of all the things i heard about HIV and STD. i can't sleep and i keep reading about it. please help

I really understand you are feeling now but unfortunately no matter how much worry you have, you can't change what has already be done.

Am afraid there is a possibility of being contaminated through anal sex. There are cells in the submucosal of the anal canal that can pickup the HIV virus thus favoring transmission. However, transmission can only be possible from an infected person. Find out about the guy's recent HIV test results or ask him to take a new one. If he is negative and appears as such three months after your last sex with him, then it is less likely for you to be contaminated.
