Can Unusually Light Bleeding Just Like Spotting Indicate Pregnancy?

I thought i started my period so i went down to the drug store to buy a pack of tampons. I normally wear pads but decided to get tampons since its summer time. But I haven t been bleeding like i normally do. I normally have a heavy flow but I m barely bleeding... it s almost like I m just spotting. I am sexually active and we don t use any other contraceptive but my IUD. Could the spotting be just a really lite period and the pain and discomfort be because my body isn t use to wearing tampons, or could there be a chance that I m pregnant? I m completely terrified of my Mirena IUD and I m probably gonna have it removed.. I m just relly concerned right now..

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared,the late period with minor bleed and backache and disconfort may be a sign of pregnancy and you need to get your blood pregnancy test immediately alongwith ultrasound scan to be sure. If that comes megative then no need to worry.
