Can Upper Thigh And Neck Pain Be Related To Prostate Issue Instead Of Arthritis?

I am a 67 year old male. I have lower back ,hips and upper thigh pain. I have neck pain. I get up through the night to pee. I feel like I always have to go. I have been treated for arthritis for the past 3 years. I am wondering if my problems are related to my prostate.

From what you have written it looks like your have been treated for a diagnosis of polymialgia rheumatica. Regarding prostate problems, try to answer to the following questions:

- A weak or slow urinary stream.
- A feeling of incomplete bladder emptying.
- Difficulty starting urination.
- Frequent urination.
- Urgency to urinate.
- Getting up frequently at night to urinate.
- A urinary stream that starts and stops.
- Straining to urinate.

If you answered most of them YES, than may be it is time to see an urologist. Although, in all cases I would suggest a PsA blood test considering your age and peeing frequently at night as well as an abdominal echography

Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
