Can Uric Acid Levels Be Tested At Home?

Hi I have gout and my uric acid has ran high, I have tried several medications, and may be having a rash caused by one medication! I noticed in one review that the person bought a UA testing to use at home to test UA. I had not hear of this. Is there a testing device or strips ??

Hello there. I have read through your question and would like to tell you that uric acid cannot be checked at home. It is a blood test which is done in laboratories . You have to remain empty stomach four hours before the blood sample is taken by venepuncture. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write.
