hiiii,
Urinary infection can be transmitted by sexual intercourse. First of all you have to exclude
STD clinically and by tests.
You are currently suffering from urinary infection. So do routine urine examination for R/E, M/E along with blood sugar.
I want to discuss it in details sothat it helps you a lot.
**UTI**
Most UTI are bladder infections. A bladder infection usually is not serious if it is treated right away. If you do not take care of a bladder infection, it can spread to your kidneys.
Women tend to get more bladder infections than men. This is due to women have shorter
urethra, so it is easier for the germs (
E.coli) to move up to their bladders. Having sex can make it easier for germs to get into your urethra.
**SYMPTOMS:
#Feeling of pain or burning when you urinate.
# You have to urinate often and with less amount.
# Your belly feels tender or heavy.
# Your urine is cloudy or smells bad.
# Pain on one side of your back under ribs where your kidneys are.
# Having
fever and
chills with
nausea and vomiting
# You have slight bleeding with urine (Not always)
**TREATMENT and PREVENTION:
For prevention of this problem in the future, practice these methods:
*Drink plenty of water
*Try to urinate when you feel the urge and try to urinate after intercourse
*Wipe your vaginal area after peeing from front to back to avoid and reduce the spread of bacteria
*Do not have sex until your doctor says that you are ok
*Wear loose cotton underwear and must be cleaned.
*Avoid tight fitting clothing around your vaginal area
*Wash genital area daily using a mild soap
*Do not douche
Use medicine like Tab
Norflox 400mg BD for 7 days with Syp Urilisar 2tsf TDS in lower UTI, if uncomplicated. Also consult with your physician.
All the best.
