Hi.This is Liton from Bangladesh, Please note, my mom is using this glucored forte medicine about 15 years she is feeling weel and not facing any problem and diabetes also under control, in this regards any suggestion? shall we continue this madicine?Thanks for your help.B.Rgds /
Dear sir i can understand your concerns in my opinion as per latest american diabetes association guideline the useage of this medication glucored forte has been reduced very much for past 5-6 yrs. there is a new research data telling that this medication can cause serious side effects in heart. i suggest you to consider using medications like glimipride and gliclazide. there are many new alternatives like DPP4 inhibitors which work in better way than glucored forte in preventing pancreatic damage. i suggest you to speak with your doc in rescheduling of her medications regards
