Hello and welcome to HCM,
The
glucose forte should be taken after lunch only and not before that.
Taking the medication before lunch can lead to fall in blood glucose levels and can cause symptoms of
hypoglycemia.
Raised fasting and post-prandial blood glucose levels are a challenge in the management of
diabetes mellitus.
You need to take your medication in time and in correct doses.
Regular exercise should be done to prevent central obesity.
Take enough fiber in your diet.
Get your fasting and post-prandial blood glucose levels after taking these strict measures.
If the blood glucose again turn out to be raised, the effect is probably due to certain hormones.
Certain hormones are released during morning hours which function to raise blood glucose levels. This is to provide energy to the body to wake up.
In normal subjects the raised glucose comes back to normal under the influenze of
insulin.
However, in diabetics the release of insulin is not as good as in normal subjects.
Post-prandial blood glucose levels can also remain high due the effect of similar hormones.
You need to consult your
diabetologist for further management.
Thanks and take care
