Can Using Micardis 80 Mg Cause Shoulder And Neck Pain?

I m taking Micardis 80 mg. tablet for a diagnosis of Diastolic Congestive Heart Failure. Just started on this one month ago. A week after starting, I ve had neck and shoulder pain in my back right neck and shoulder occcasionally moving up into ear area and top right of head area. Could the Micardis be a the cause?

Hi,

Yes, these side effects are possible because of the drug. Muscle pain, backache, chest pain have been reported in 1to 3 percent of a patient taking telmisartan. So if there is no other reason for your symptoms, we can assume this might be due to the drug, If it's too much, need to inform your doctor as he may think to change the drug.
