Can Using Condoms Cause Red Bumps With Yellow Discharge On Base Of Penis?

Hi, I have a question. I recently had sex three days ago and I did use a latex condom but I have started to get red bumps around the base of the penis and they have a yellow white discharge. I did shave 2 days prior to sex could these be just bad infected follicles or pimples?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Having sex with condoms is not known to cause red bumps with yellow white discharge.
It must have been caused due to infection following shaving. The lesions you are describing appears to be 'foliculitis'.
To get rid of this, kindly do the following things:
1. Wash the area with mild disinfectant solution like Savlon twice a day.
2. Apply Clindamycin skin cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take Tablet. Ibuprofen with paracetamol twice a day after food for 5 days.
4. Keep the area ventilated by wearing loose cotton undergarments.
You should get better in a weeks time.
All the best.
