Can Using Medical Marijuana Cause Arthritic Pain In Fingers And Wrists?
Hi, I use medical marijuana for chronic pain. Recently, I have noticed every time I ingest it in any form, I develop symptoms of tendonitis and/or arthritis, especially in the fingers and wrists. I know it isn t psycho-somatic because the pain lasts into the next day when the drug is no longer active. Is it possible an allergy to marijuana could cause these symptoms?
Your symptoms could be suggestive of marijuana intolerance. For this reason, I recommend trying other treatment options for chronic pain like: - Antidepressants - Pregabalin I recommend also performing some tests: complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
