Hi thank you for taking the time. I have a constant ache in my abdomen which shifts around and then I get a painful throbbing to the lower left side of my abdomen which comes and goes and can last for about ten minutes or even an hour I m worried that it could be something really serious as this has been happening for several weeks now and appears to be getting worse not better not sure it is connected but I was also diagnosed with a fibroid several years ago and I have had a swollen gland in my groin for about 4 weeks now which has still not gone down, any advice would be much appreciated thank you
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, uterine fibroid can cause similar kind of lower abdominal pain. Another possibility is infection because you are also having enlarged lymphnode since 4 weeks. So better to consult gynecologist and get done repeat ultrasound examination of abdomen to see the size and site of fibroid. If size is increasing as compare to previous report then surgical removal of fibroid is needed. Don't worry, you will be alright. Consult gynecologist and discuss all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
