Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can ventricular tachycardia repair itself? I get concerned because I also get atypical chest pain which is responsive to nitro. and do not want the two events to occur at the same time. I am hypertensive (mostly controlled), with Factor 5 Leiden (heterozygeos) I am on multiple meds. - losartan, bystolic, and diltiazem. Thoughts?
Ventricular tachycardia is a condition that happens due to other problems or diseases affecting the heart so as long as these conditions are not treated or are still affecting you ventricular tachycardia has the risk of coming back. Generally it can be a life threatening condition so it is important to do a good check to identify the cause and have the proper treatment other then just expecting it to go away in itself as this can be very risky. So to conclude please see your doctor, do all the examinations he finds needed to find the cause of it and follow the treatment and instructions as your doctor will recommend them.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General & Family Physician
